Not my fruitbowl/not tagged
Thought I'd share this with you all as well - this is a bowl that my mother, who is an amateur potter and pottery teacher, made. The photo is at a bit of an awkward angle as it's meant to show the underside of the bowl, which has a fabulous design on it (made from lace pressed into the wet clay) - it's a fairly good sized bowl, as the yellow fruit is not a lemon but a grapefruit. I love the little squat legs, don't you?
Also, the other day, Jennifer tagged me for the seven things meme, but I'll just refer you back here...

The bowl is wonderful. I haven't done any hand built pottery in a long time and am hopeless at wheel thrown, but it is so much fun.
I love handmade pottery and this bowl is really cool!
what a fabulous bowl - something totally unique and that lace imprint is gorgeous!
Hi Kate! I am back from Puerto Rico and catching up with you! DARN~I am soo mad I missed the Hawaiian shirt giveaways! YOu have been super busy. I love what you did with the butterfly piece for your RR. I also think you are super efficient using up bits from other projects before they get stuck away taking up space and coming back to haunt you later.
I see your mom is as talented as you are. I love the bowl. How did she get such a nice imprint of the lace in the clay?
Love that bowl -- and the legs. I'm hopelessly behind in my blog reading -- but as a quick recap -- jealous of all you've been getting done, love your quilts, and geesh, I am tired thinking about how much you do :0) (and that includes the kids, house and husband as well as crafting!)
Your bowl looks beautiful, I lobve the colour too.
