Round Robin Tuesday - ATCoins

Here are another couple of sets of round robin cards, except these are coins - 2.5" in diameter.  Again, I was the second person to work on the card, and someone else finished it off. This one was quite tricky as the card was pretty full to start with.

This one had a lot more space to work in, so it was easier to find something to add.

ATC Friday

Two sets of round robin cards where I was the second person to work on the card - I received something as a starter, and then added a little and passed it on. The finished card is above, and the other two stages below.

With this one, I somehow managed to neglect to scan it after my own additions, but I can tell you that I added the spiderweb washi tape and the word "boo".

Cross Stitch Update - Finished!

Well, this needs ironing, obviously, but the stitching is done. It's astonishing how quickly you can actually finish something when you spend time working on it...  I've got a new piece which has a Christmas theme, which I'm actually going to start now, but I do also want to carry on working on another piece in progress, The Alice in Wonderland piece.  I might alternate one week on and one week off, or might work on both of them through a week, not really sure. Guess it will depend on what catches my fancy. But I'm definitely going to make a point to stitch at least a little almost every night. Watch this space.

Round Robin Tuesday

Here are three sets of ATCs where I started the card and two other people worked on them.  A variety of themes, by a variety of artists.

Scrappy Centre

This is (or will be) another Linus top, eventually - some scrappy blocks put together in alternating direction, which will eventually get a border around it.  This coming week I am back to work (and am literally at work part of the time), so there won't be as much sewing, but hopefully I'll be able to get back to it quite soon!

Another Linus Top

This one has some Aladdin or Arabian Nights style fabric for the border - once again, I got the border fabric from the Project Linus coordinator's Linus stash, specifically for bordering donation quilts.

Top with Stripy Border

Here's another little top for Project Linus, with a cool stripey border.

Another Linus Quilt Top

Here's another one - this is a mix of scrappy blocks and single-fabric blocks, with a border of the same fabric that's in the blocks. This was a fabric given to me ages ago by the Project Linus coordinator to use in tops and borders.

Cross Stitch Update

So, I've actually been doing a bit of cross-stitch lately - I have worked on this piece a bit over the past year or so, but only once or twice a month, rather than almost nightly. Lately, I've been trying to be better about stitching in the evening while watching telly rather than just being on my phone - it's tempting, especially when one is tired, to just sit and veg. Anyway, this piece is nearly done - there's a bit of the left border to do, then the bottom left corner of that centre bit and another planter like the one on the right. And a few little bits, like there is a spacer symbol of some sort between the states' names. But it shouldn't take much longer to finish, especially if I keep up the nightly work.

Here's the last photo I can find of it - but I've certainly added quite a bit since this photo was taken, before this week - for instance, most of the state names have been done for quite a while.

Round Robin Tuesday

These three sets of round robin Artist Trading Cards were all started by me, then worked on by two others. It's fun to see what direction they go in!

Another Project Linus Quilt Donation

Here's another one where I added a border so that I could donate a top to Project Linus. I still have quite a bit stash of scrappy block sets and small tops (which need borders) to make into donation quilt tops, so you'll see a lot of this in the coming weeks.

A few more blocks together

And some more from the same block set as yesterday - again, these will have a border around them in the fullness of time and become a top for Project Linus.

A few blocks together

Using up some blocks from a stack I had around - these will be the centre of a top for Project Linus, which eventually I will add some borders to. For now, it goes in that pile...

Project Linus Top

So, although I've been through quite a long period of not being able to make a lot of time for sewing, I still have a stash of tops and blocks waiting to be made up to go to Project Linus UK. I contacted my local rep to make sure she's still happy to take unquilted tops (she is), so while I'm at home with a bit of time for sewing, I'll add back some Linus tops into my mix of sewing activities. Here's one where the top was together apart from the border before; I've added a border.

That's better!

So here is a little top made from the leaders & enders blocks - I changed the layout of the individual blocks and the arrows really come through now, which is much more what I wanted in the first place.  This can go in my baby quilt top stack - I've got a few coming up this summer which need to get finished...

ATC Tuesday

Three sets of ATCs where I was the first person to work on the card - I started it off and sent it to someone else, who sent it to a third person to finish. Always interesting to see what comes out at the end!
