Cross Stitch Update
Not surprisingly, I finished the small amount of the sheep which was left... and then, I started a little something I can't really show - it's a three-part mystery from LizzieKate - here's a tiny preview, which won't give anything away. I've actually finished the first section, but I won't show the work until I've finished part three (at that point, all the parts to the mystery will be published, so all bets are off!)...
This is the sleeve that comes with part one:
I really like LizzieKate designs; I have fun stitching them. This one is cute, so far. And it has words (not a spoiler as it's in the Sampler Club), which I always enjoy.

Cross Stitch Update
Nearly done! Just a bit of outer border on the top left, and then the white (ecru) inner border to finish.

Cross Stitch Update
Well, you can see there's been some good progress this week, unlike last week. It will take at least another week's worth of work to finish, I should think. But it won't be too long - unless I switch back to something more complicated in the interim, of course (probably won't, as we are going to be away at a friend's house for a few days - easier to have something simple away with me).

Cross Stitch update
Not much stitching this week - probably because I usually do it while watching telly, and there hasn't been much of that while away in Italy (not least because Italian television is hard to watch - and not just because it's in Italian!). But I think you can tell it's going to be another little sheepy...

Sheep Virtues
These are all pieces you've seen before, but I finally got around to attaching them to the bits of wool they come with - not sure what I will do in the way of displaying them - and actually there are a few more already put together, but these are the four that were sitting around waiting to be done. I do really like them with wool backgrounds - they really suit.
Mayeb 2015 will be the year I finish the sheep! I've just looked back, and it appears that I've stitched 7 of these - these four, and Courage, Hope & Peace. Which means there are just five to go - not an unreasonable goal for a year!

Cross stitch update
Finished another little sheep - not sure how many more I have left to do - 4 or 5 I think. But there's no rush. They are really nice little projects - partly because they are easy to sew, and partly because they are easy to finish! However, that said, I have some other little projects which I'm going to start working on soon, of a similar size, but slightly more seasonal in theme - I'm hoping I'll be able to finish a few of them at an appropriate time, though of course I have some larger seasonal pieces to be working on as well.
The colour is much more true (though a little washed out) in this photo - bad lighting in the first one...

Cross Stitch Update
Progress on the little sheep. I have been so tired this week that I couldn't face either of the other, more complex pieces. I think they are both going to be very slow going, actually, but we'll get there, a little at a time. The sheep is just about my speed at the moment. Not a lot left to do - the rest of the border, but also a little bit here and there. Still, won't take long, probably. Will probably also work on the second part of the Hallowe'en mystery, as I'll be feeling very Hallowe'eny this week for obvious reasons.

Cross Stitch Update
Doesn't look like a lot of progress on this one, but the border takes longer to stitch than you might think. And I'm also working on the secret Hallowe'en stitchery, which I can't really show. Perhaps another sneak peek of that one next week...

Cross Stitch Update
Started a new little sheep piece - I may someday get all 12 of these stitched (I think this is number 6). They go quickly, it's true...
I did also do some work on the Hallowe'en mystery, but as I can't show it, I won't - not even a sneak peek this week. I should be receiving the next installment in that soon, so I ought to get a move on with it, so I can add the next section. But it's going to take me a few more weeks to finish the first section up, I think. Doesn't matter - I have tons of Hallowe'en cross-stitches finished anyway, so if it's not done in time, it doesn't really matter.

Cross Stitch Update
Finished off both the current pieces: the Winter Garden piece (which shows up better in person)
and the Faith Sheep. Only a million or so sheep to go (ok, I think this is my 4th one, so I guess 8 more to go. But they do seem to be endless...)
I've started something new for next week, but I'll show that next week. I might add another one into the rotation as well, rebel that I am!

Cross Stitch Update
Because I always like to be working on more than one thing at a time, I started another of the Little Sheep Virtues. This won't take long; the main body of the design is mostly done, save some leaves and clouds, but it also has a border all the way around, which will take a little while to do. I think this is no 5 in the series, but I could be wrong. So just a few more to go - ha!

Cross-stitch update
Lots to show this week. I finished the bottom of the dress on the green angel, and have put it away for another year. Not sure what I'll work on next year - the foot of the green angel, probably, plus I think the face of the middle one, as she's kind of creepy with no features, plus perhaps the bellrope (the one the green angel is holding) - we'll see...
When that was done, I picked up a small sheep virtue to stitch as I am waiting on some threads for the Cinnamon Christmas piece - and I finished the Love Sheep - they do stitch up pretty fast, these sheep! 4 down, 8 to go...
Finally, I did make a little progress on the Cinnamon Christmas - I was out on the weekend and thought I'd pick up enough of the dark brown (which is not on order) to finish the wording, but they only had Anchor, not DMC. I bought the equivalent, but it's not quite the same - still, it's fine for the dark brown bits which don't sit right next to the word Christmas. I think I have enough of the original colour to stitch "Merry" - I hope so. Though of course, it's on my list to order...

Cross-stitch update
Finished the little sheep this week. I did start the crow cross-stitch (which I have the threads for now) but there's not really enough progress to show - a couple of stars, is all. Obviously, I still have to press, trim and back this one (and add the embellishments), but the stitching is done...
(What is it with blogger, though - I had to upload this about 6 times - it kept trying to rotate the top photo right 90 degrees. When I rotated the original picture left 90 degrees to compensate, of course it uploaded it the way the picture was orientated. Sigh.)

Cross-stitch update
I had planned to stitch something different next - a small design with a crow in it, which was a secondary design in a larger pattern I stitched a while back, but as I took it out, I realised I didn't have the right threads for it (the ones for the larger design came with it, but not for this little one), so instead, I took up another sheep. And ordered the threads for the crow pattern, of course!
Really, I should perhaps have finished the Autumn piece, but I was bored of doing the border, so decided to take a little break. I'll finish it next week. And it will still be Autumn, so that's ok...

Two Virtues
I've shown these stitched up before, but recently I finished them off (sort of - still not quite sure whether I will try to find frames, or turn them into pillows or a single piece when all 12 are done or...), adding them to the included wool and sewing on the buttons.
They are looking very very cute, if I do say so myself!

Cross stitch update
After quite a bit of not-much-cross-stitching, I finally got around to finishing the border on the Iris piece
AND the border on the Hope Sheep. Now to start the project I actually brought to work on while in the US!

Cross-stitch update
Nearly done! Very tempting to throw it in my cross-stitch bag for the US as it's only the border to finish off. I think I might. It would be nice to finish two projects while I'm there (maybe three, who knows - but at least two of them are nearly done already!)... Here's the sheep last time before I swapped back to the Iris. As you can see, these little sheep stitch up very quickly. Which is great, as there are 12 of them to do!
