Finished! And yes, I am still working a bit on the angels and do still plan to finish the green dress before I put it away until next season. I really can't do much of that piece at one time - it hurts my head. Too much counting! I just can't really cope with that sort of intense cross-stitch any more. Perhaps I should double check all my patterns and get rid of any more which are that complicated and dense, as it's not likely I'll ever stitch them now...

Cross-stitch update
Not one, or even two, but three items of cross-stitchy goodness to report this week. I finished this little one, Kringle's Crow (photo's a bit washed out, so the off white stitching doesn't show well, but it's there) a while ago. I knew it wouldn't take long.

I did some work on the green dress on the angels - you can see it's coming along slowly but surely. I'm not sure if I'll finish the dress this year, but that's my general goal - to make good progress on the green dress or even finish it. That will be plenty of stitching on this difficult, intricate piece, especially for my tired brain!
And once the crow was finished, I needed something else to use as a relief from the angels, so I pulled this one out, which is also much easier to stitch - I'm sure I'll finish this one this year, as it's only the house in the box to finish and the rest of the border and lettering. Who knows, I might even need something else wintery to work on before I go back to the pink birds or the little sheep or...

Cross-stitch update
Nearly finished now - and yes, I'm tired of it. I can't decide if I want to keep stitching because it's nearly done (but probably two more weeks of it - the snowflake border took longer than I thought it would on the other end) or just put it aside until winter and start something else - the weather is finally getting a little better, and I'm tired of wintery things. I guess I'll decide next Wednesday. In the meantime, back to the new sampler...

Cross stitch update
Not a lot of progress this week, but then I've only worked on it once, I think, or maybe twice - one night I finished off the other piece, one night I went out, a couple nights I've been stitching down binding... This week, I was going to start a new piece, but before I could do so, I received part six of my birds in the post, so that will be next. It's a fairly small section, though, so I don't imagine it will take the entire week to stitch - although, there is more binding to do, so who knows what will happen!

Even More Cross-stitch
Wednesday being the regularly scheduled cross-stitch update... Here's the new piece I'm working on (in rotation with the garden with alphabet) - as I suspected, I did choose something winter themed, but it's not really that heavily wintery - only a small amount of snow and so on - and I don't mind the trees, so I think it will be ok to work on. It shouldn't take very long, anyway, as it's quite open stitching. If I get bored of the snowflakes before I finish, I can always put it aside to finish in November or so. This church is about 2 evenings work, so you can see it stitches up pretty fast.
