Cross stitch nemesis

OK, so, it was the first week of the Christmas nemesis. Not sure how well you can see the bottom photo, but I have done quite a bit of work in the hair of the red angel, as well as a little in the dress and some work in the bell pulls. I have remembered why this piece annoys me - it's just constant colour change. Can't go for a more than a few stitches in any direction without having to change colours -argh! Luckily, I can now have a week off and go back to my houses....

It will be lovely (in more ways than one)when it is finished!

Try threading a needle for the various colors, I find it easier to do that when I'm constantly changing- I have noticed that I often change between the same colors just really frequently!

When I have so many different colors in such a short space I will have many needles that remain threaded and laid off to the side. It takes a lot of the frustration out of the project. It looks gorgeous though!!!!

Is that one of the Corbett angel designs? I did a bunch of those, and I really feel for you - they have a massive number of color changes!! But they are so worth it when you finish.....

Beautiful project and yes, I can see where it is a lot of work.
