Cross stitch stuff

Here's an update on the angels - not a lot done, though I did do some work on the dress of the central, red angel. I remembered one of the reasons (besides seasonality) that I often want to put this cross-stitch aside - it hurts my head some times - too many colours, too close together. I'll get back to it before too long - like next week - but for the moment, I needed to do something a little simpler...
On the left, what I've done so far - on the right, what it will look like finished. I would have got farther on this but for two things - first one was that I've spent a couple of nights sewing down binding on the diamond quilt (nearly done) - the second one was, i originally did the off white letters in a slightly darker colour, but they really had very little contrast against the linen, so I actually took them all out and did them again in a lighter off-white. So there you go.

Your work is very nice. For some years, I did counted cross-stitch and loved it, but then my eyes didn't allow me to do it comfortably anymore. I do so appreciate, though, seeing the great work of others (like yourself)....so keep the photos coming!

Since I got trifocals I'm afraid I'd have to take them off entirely to do the close work of cross stitch. It's a pity because I have a stocking about 3/4 done for Dylan. Maybe I'll have to farm it out to someone with better eyesight!
