Rail fence variation

Another little top made in an effort to reduce the strips in my scrap basket. This one didn't use a huge number of strips because it's mostly using the blue stripe fabric, but every little bit counts!  And it did very nicely use up a half metre of blue striped fabric which was looking for a use...

I really like this take on Rail Fence - I have a baby quilt to make for a colleague whose wife is expecting at Christmas - don't know what flavour yet - this would be a great quickie to make two of, one blue and one pink so I have a top ready to quilt once we know what they're having. I'm thinking pink on white would be nice and then blue on sand for the other - thanks for the inspiration (as always) :)

You always come up with simple, wonderful designs!! I'm going to whip up a couple of these this week!! Then how long will they sit before I quilt and bind them? We don't need to talk about that :)
