Funky 16 patches

Despite being officially on holiday now (hurrah!) I had little sewing time today. I did just manage to finish putting together these squares into a top. Another one for the charity pile - hoorah! This was a nice way to use some larger pieces of fabric from the "What on Earth can I do with that" section of my stash...

Thanks again, Block Lotto, for such great block ideas!

How does one acquire fabric of the "what on earth can I do with that?" variety?

My stash still consists of the scraps I won from you, the six half metres I got when I bought my sewing machine and ten fat quarters I bought because ten for $25 is better than one for $3.50! Oh, and a mounting pile of scraps from various projects (quilting and sewing).

Really neat, I love the patchwork! I had started a similar project some time ago, but never got around to finishing it... life always seems to get in the way of having a good time!

Oh I love this so much!

Your baskets of scraps amuse me as well. It makes me think I should keep all my teeny tiny pieces so I can go digging through them later on as well. :)
