Can you tell what it is yet?

As promised to myself, I have started working on the cat quilt again - this is two tails (I have to make 20) and 1 complete and 3 partial border segments (28 needed in total). The border segments are fine; the tails are easy to piece, but then they have to have the seam allowances folded in and pressed and be appliqued onto the top. That part is going to be less easy, I feel!

Wow-zers at all the triangles! I really love the color combo. Can't wait to see the result. I have a "cat" quilt going too, for my daughter. It's one of my resolutions to complete it this year ;)

Probably sounds like I am teaching my grandma to suck eggs but way I would deal with the edges is to clip the curves where necessary and then paint spray starch onto the seam allowance and press it down with my fingers before giving it a quick iron. (Soluble glue stick is another option.) It is much easier than trying to hold it down and press and can be rinsed out if any residual stiffness is a problem after sewing.

I knew what those pieces were!! I'm delighted that you are working on the cat quilt. It does sound like a lot of bother, especially the little bits. Next time you volunteer to make a quilt for me, we should look at the directions before we buy the kit!!
