Two sets of bird-themed RR cards, where I was the middle person to work on the card. I do like birds and often use them on cards, but only one of them is bird-themed because of me...

Here is another set of blocks - this one a rail fence set - in similar colours. Bright, fun, baby colours, not pale pastels. Not a big fan of the pastel coloured baby quilt. At some point, I'll get these together into a top. No huge rush, as all the babies coming up aren't due until July.

Here's the assembled top from the blocks from the other day. This will be put to the side and quilted later. And I'll work on another set of blocks - I actually know of about four babies being born in July that I will want to make quilts for - good to get started in advance...

Yep. Made some more blocks this weekend - there are actually 36 of these, with 6 of each colour (different fabrics, though) - perhaps over the coming week, where I have the week off, I'll get them assembled into a top. It's almost like I'm actually a quilter again.

Another thing I like about round robins is that once you send off your work, it can sometimes take a while to come back to you - people have committments, or it gets misplaced, etc etc. Sometimes, things come back after quite a while and you think - oh yeah, I remember this card!

Three sets where I was the second player. I'd been looking for a chance to use these John Lennon stamps, and backgrounds seemed like the perfect opportunity...
What I really like about this one is how it turned to become landscape (not that it was ever portrait necessarily, except in my mind...)

Well, those blocks I was working on last weekend, I finished this weekend, and put together into a nice top for a baby quilt. Next step will be to quilt it, but not for a little while yet. If this keeps up, people will think this is a quilting blog...
