The Scouts have their annual Celebration of Christmas service tonight - about the only time I ever go to church these days - so it's the church for today. Still love the little stained glass windows on this one.

Advent Calendar, Day 8 (Apple)
We were talking about the apple yesterday, and how it often doesn't get chosen (there are more pictures than days), so I decided it should feature today, so it doesn't have to be lonely.

Advent Calendar, Day 7 (Angel)
We have a special guest advent calendar selector today - I didn't have time to choose this morning, and by the time I got home this afternoon, Sarah and her friend Izzie were here (they are staying over in order to take the car for the weekend tomorrow morning), so we let Izzie have the honour of choosing the piece. She chose this one - yay!
ATC Friday
On all these sets of round robin cards, I was the third player, which means that I received a card which two people had worked on, and I added the finishing touches. To these sea themed house shaped cards, I added a seahorse and some words.
To these bird cards, I added a feathery leaf and the word "fly"
and to these doggie cards, I added a bit of washi tape at the top for accent and the word "woof". I like words on cards and tend to add them a lot. You might have noticed this.

Advent Calendar, Day 6 (Sledge)
We don't always have a link to why we put each picture up (though there are traditions, like the tree on the day we put up the tree and the gingerbread man on the day we bake), but sometimes it's fun to have one. Alex chose this today, not because there is snow, but because the Explorers (oldest set of Scouts) are going go-karting for their Christmas outing tonight. And sledging was about as close to go-karts as our calendar gets - it's like snowless, indoor, motorized team sledging with helmets and seatbelts... (And if that description reminded you of a George Carlin sketch about ball sports, yes, that was intentional. Plus, you are really old.)

ATC Tuesday
These cards were made a while back - you can probably guess approximately when - for a swap called Witches and their Black Cats.
At the time I was making them, my printer was out of ink, so I had to rely solely on images in my stash, rather than printing anything out, which meant I had to get a little creative on the witches.
Luckily, I had a sheet of witch hats already printed, which helped.

Advent Calendar, Day 2 (Wreath)
Might go grab the wreath from the bag of early decorations and hang it on the door today. At the moment, it's only the advent calendar. (I'm not a Christmas-decorations-up-for-ages kind of girl...)

ATC Friday
It is sometimes remarkable to think about all the different themes on ATCs that I receive - I thought this particular selection showed that off well - I finished up three sets of cards with an aubergine theme, a gnome theme and a vintage dude theme.

Here's another set of cards for a Pick a Theme swap - four different themes, plus a card for the hostess. Here, there was a bird theme,
a moon with a quote theme,
a shooting star or stars with a quote,
and finally a whale or dolphin card.
The hostess card incorporated a gecko I know the hostess likes and a yellow flower which is either a sunflower, or as close to asunflower as I had in my stash...

ATC Friday
Two sets of cards where I was the second person to add something.
Here I added a bit of map and a coffee pot stamp.
And with these, I just added a couple of leaves.

ATC Tuesday
Here's a group of cards I made for a Pick-a-Theme Swap, where the players all choose their own theme and you make a personalised card. These were altered playing cards, as well, so we had a specific suit and number requested, along with the theme. The card above was made for a vintage garden theme.
This one was for a mushroom/gnome theme.
Here, it's a sun with a quote theme, I think.
And finally, a zebra with a sunflower theme.

ATC Tuesday
I joined a swap for ATCoins (these are like ATCs except they are round, but they are a similar size - 2.5" in diameter) with an "Under the Sea" theme.
