This is one of the pieces of fabric (well, a small part of it) which my friend Sharon sent me in the US, for use in Project Linus quilts (or, in this case, not). The bulk of the fabric, I promise, will get used for charitable purposes, but my daughter, who is leaving to go to university next weekend, needed a doorstop to take with her, and this seemed to fit the bit very well.
A quick little bag shape, fill it with a bag of rice or dried beans and hey presto...
Doorstop!
My other exciting sewing for today was to mend the hole in this t-shirt of Alex's. "What hole?" you may say. "I can't see any hole." To which I can only respond, "Precisely."
