ATC Tuesday

Some more round robins - even when I do nothing else, I seem to keep up with working on round robins - perhaps because they only require a small amount of work, not even as much as making a full card!  These are all ones where two people had already worked on them, and I just needed to add finishing touches. Some flowers on these cute animal cards,

a flower and a border on these floral stamp cards,

And a bit of lettering (and a few more eggs) on these cards.

Round Robin Friday

These are all round robin cards where I started the card and sent it along to another artist, who added something and sent it to a third person to finish off. So I can show what I sent (below) and what I got back in the end (above).

RRR Swap

These cards are for a swap themed "Recycle, reuse, repurpose" - the idea being to only use things which are recycled, used from other sources, etc., and not take new materials from your stash. For me, this was pretty easy - I have a lot of stuff which comes from recycled sources.

All my backgrounds were from old pieces from the the girls' artwork; I used parts of envelopes, old stamps, some card catalogue cards, text leftover from making found poetry, washi tape which I salvaged from envelopes sent to me, some things cut from tickets, etc.

Round Robin Friday

This one was fun to work on - what was coming out of the egg?  Took me a while to find the right image(s), but I knew I wanted something unusual.

A very neutral background can be almost as hard to decide how to  embellish than one which has a clear theme. When that happens, I usually just look for something I have three of.

More unthemed ATCs

A few more ATCs made the other day, with the ones I showed last week - again, the backgrounds are some I received with a swap, so I had a head start on making the cards.

Round Robin Friday

This was one of those round robins where I had a hard time thinking of what to add. For one thing, the image was quite big. For another, it's not my natural style or topic, so I have to work harder. I found the cat image in a pad of paper, and cut him out - worked well.

This one was a lot more straightforward.

Non-themed ATCs

For once, I made some ATCs with no particular theme, and not for a swap - just to make some. Some of these, I may swap individually with people, but they were just made to use bits and pieces I had knocking around. All of the backgrounds came from a background swap or were given to me, so I had a head start...

Round robin Friday

Three sets of cards which I started, and then other players worked on. A fish theme, to go with some bioluminescent stamps,

a dance theme to go with the dancer charms

and a pink but wintery theme.

Pick-a-theme Swap

These cards are for the type of swap where each player specifies what they'd like to receive, so instead of making 3 (or however many) cards which are the same theme, you make one for each person.

So I had a spooky theme to make,

plus a theme of angels

(this one was a hostess card, so I chose the cactus theme from her stated likes & dislikes)

a Tarzan theme

and a Wonder Woman (DC Comics) theme. #

Round robin Friday

This is a good example of a card which goes in a totally unexpected direction (but in a good way). The very neutral background featured some tax amortisation tables, but the finished card was botanical in theme. It works well, though.

This one was probably more predictable, with it's seaside theme to start.
